Mid-Century Cabinet by Jitona, Czech Brussels Style, 1960s
This elegant retro cabinet was produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s by Jitona, one of the most respected furniture manufacturers of the period. Designed in the distinctive Brussels style associated, the piece combines clean architectural lines with refined craftsmanship and functional storage.
The cabinet is made from veneered solid wood with a two-tone veneer finish and a high-gloss lacquered surface, standing on slender, elegant legs typical of Czech mid-century design. The layout is thoughtfully divided: the left section features a double-door cabinet with an internal shelf, while the right section contains drawers, offering both concealed and accessible storage.
Preserved in original, very well-maintained condition, the structure is solid and the wood remains healthy. Minor surface wear is present, consistent with age and careful use. A timeless and versatile piece, ideal for vintage, modern, or eclectic interiors.
