Mid century sideboard from the 1960´s. This sideboard is unique in that it has a two-sided opening.
This furniture were designed by Karel Vyčítal and Milos Sedláček for Dřevotvar Jablonné nad Orlicí in the former Czechoslovakia. Milos Sedláček and Karel Vyčítal were leading Czechoslovak post-war architects who worked for the Czechoslovak firm Dřevotvar Jablonné nad Orlicí. Their work was obviously inspired by post-war Scandinavian design, which they not only drew inspiration from, but tried to modify it in various ways. This piece of furniture is made of high-quality beech wood and lacquered with semi-matt polyurethane.
It´s in excellent condition, fully restored.
