Glass Bowl with Gold Foil, František Vízner, 1976, Czechoslovakia
This glass bowl was designed by František Vízner and produced at the Škrdlovice glassworks in 1976. It belongs to Vízner’s later studio period, defined by disciplined geometry and controlled surface effects typical of Czech art glass of the 1970s.
The bowl is executed in deep cobalt blue glass with a wide, shallow form and a softly recessed center. The interior surface shows a fine granular texture that adds visual depth and optical variation under light.
The piece is in very good vintage condition, with light patina consistent with age. According to documentation, the bowl incorporates gold foil. No cracks or structural damage are present.
