Antonín Šuman Dining Chairs, Tatra Nábytok, Czechoslovakia 1960s
Set of four mid-century dining chairs designed by Antonín Šuman and produced by Tatra nábytok Pravenec in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s.
These chairs feature an elegant sculptural bentwood backrest with a characteristic open arch and tapered solid wood legs. The set has recently undergone professional upholstery renovation and is finished in a vivid red fabric that highlights the organic lines of the design while remaining true to the period character.
A well-balanced example of Czechoslovak modernist furniture, suitable for both dining and interior design use.
