Rolling Chairs Set, Mid-Century, Zbyněk Hřivnáč, 1963, Czechoslovakia
A rare set of three rolling chairs designed in 1963 by Zbyněk Hřivnáč for the Czechoslovak Embassy in Brazil. These chairs are a strong example of Czech modernist and functionalist design, created for diplomatic interiors where durability, comfort, and discreet innovation were essential.
The chairs feature a steel structure with black leather upholstery. Both the seat and backrest are removable, emphasizing modularity and ease of maintenance. The legs are finished with a clever integrated rolling mechanism, allowing smooth movement while maintaining a stable, architectural appearance.
Preserved in original vintage condition with visible patina, surface wear, and creases in the leather consistent with age and use. A historically significant ensemble, suitable for collectors, institutional interiors, or refined modern spaces.
Sold as a set of three chairs.
